The countdown is on
It’s just a few days to go until the Ligtas team joins Lambert Smith Hampton on their ‘Summit, Cycle, Speed’ challenge in aid of Mind. We are delighted to be sponsoring this event organised by Lambert Smith Hampton in conjunction with Lockton Global Real Estate and Construction.
Summit, Cycle, Speed will take place on Saturday, 18 September 2021. It will be a tough test of both our team’s fitness and mental strength, which will see more than 50 members of the Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) team climb to the summit of the beautiful Mount Snowden, undertake a challenging 12-mile cycle to Penrhyn Quarry, and then finish off the day with an adrenaline-packed experience on the world’s fastest zip wire!
Behind the scenes, the Ligtas team has been training in preparation for the event. We asked them what they were most and least looking forward to and why they wanted to do the challenge.
Meet the team and sponsor LSH’s chosen charity here.

Morgan, part of our scheduling teamsays that she can’t wait for the thrill of the 100mph zip wire over Penrhyn quarry and its amazing views. But she’s a little worried about the bike as much of the route will be all-terrain and gravel tracks. Despite this, her reasons for wanting to do the challenge are that it’s a fantastic experience. What better way to raise money for such a great charity!Donna, part of the marketing teamsays that she is most looking forward to the stunning views from the top of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. The zip wire will be her least favourite because she gets nervous about heights. She wanted to do the challenge for Mind as it’s a charity close to her heart, and the work they do is invaluable.Colin, part of the software teamsays he least looking forward to the 5.30 am start, but can’t wait for the challenge as it’s a fantastic reason to get out and about for the day and help him get to know the other team members in this team building activity. He says it will also help him in his goal to get fitter and lose a few pounds.Shawn, part of the software teamsays he signed up because he likes a challenge and has completed many events in the past like the Great North Run and the Yorkshireman half marathon. Although Shawn says he isn’t looking forward to the Snowdonia descent due to his back injury, he says he cannot wait to complete the challenge and meet his clients in real life.
Good luck to all the participants in the 'Summit, Cycle, Speed' challenge.
