On the 23rd of April 2026, Ligtas was invited to take part in the incredible Ridge to Realm challenge with our partners at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).
Three of our more adventurous colleagues took to the Malvern Hills to help raise money for the fantastic children’s charity, Spread a Smile.
Helen Jerman-Crandon, Cerianne James and Ceri Robins-Jones took on a full day of physical challenges designed to test resilience, teamwork and determination - all for an important cause.
The event began with a 20-metre abseil at Tank Quarry before participants set off on a demanding 13km hike across the Malvern Hills ridge, taking in some of the area’s most iconic landscapes. The day finished with a coracle raft-building challenge at Eastnor Castle, where teams worked together to retrieve the symbolic ‘keys to the castle’ from the lake.
While the challenge itself was unforgettable, the real purpose behind the event was to support the incredible work of Spread a Smile.
The charity brings joy and laughter to seriously ill children and young people through in-person hospital visits, virtual sessions and family events. From magicians and musicians to artists, fairies and therapy dogs, their entertainers help create moments of happiness and distraction for families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
As a business committed to supporting wellbeing, people and communities, Ligtas was proud to sponsor the event and stand alongside LSH in support of such a meaningful cause. Partnerships like this reflect the importance of collaboration beyond day-to-day business activities; bringing people together to create a positive impact where it matters most.
We’re incredibly proud of Helen, Cerianne and Ceri for representing Ligtas and helping to raise an amazing £9,384 of the £10,000 fundraising target, thanks to the generosity of supporters.
There’s still time to help push the total over the finish line and support the life-changing work Spread a Smile continues to deliver so please donate if you can.
