NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Course Overview
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NG) is a widely recognised health and safety qualification. The NG offers an excellent grounding in the essentials of health and safety.
This qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

The NGC has two unit assessments:
- Unit NG1: Management of health and safety
- Unit NG2: Risk assessment
The delegate must achieve a ‘Pass’ in each unit to be awarded the qualification.
Delegates are awarded the Certificate on successful completion of the Open Book Examination (completed online) and practical assessment (completed in their own time).

All courses will be presented in English, so all delegates will need to speak, understand, and write in English.
NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
