Residential PEEPs: Guidance for Responsible Persons – Webinar Insights and What Comes Next

NEWS

December 2025

We recently hosted our webinar Unlock Residential Fire Compliance: The Practical Guide to the Fire Safety Regulations 2025, bringing together property professionals from across the residential sector to explore what the new regulations will mean in practice.

With the Regulations coming into force in April 2026, the session focused on helping Responsible Persons understand what’s changing, who the duties apply to, and how to start preparing before formal guidance was available.

The level of engagement and the volume of questions we received confirmed just how much uncertainty there is around residential evacuation planning, particularly when it comes to supporting residents who may need assistance in an emergency.

New guidance published: what does it mean for you?

Since the webinar, the government has published new guidance: Residential PEEPs – Guidance for Responsible Persons.

This guidance provides much-needed clarity on expectations around resident engagement, consent, proportionality, and implementation — but it also raises new practical questions for building owners, freeholders, and managing agents.

To help organisations respond with confidence, we’re hosting a follow-up webinar:
