December 2025
On Thursday 4 December, we did something that doesn’t happen often for a business like ours; we brought the entire organisation together in one room. With consultants travelling nationwide, trainers delivering across formats, technical teams working on complex sites, and support teams spread across the UK, getting everyone together is no small feat.
But it makes a difference. You could feel it the minute people walked through the doors in Cheltenham. Being together reminded us who we are, what we’re building, and why our work matters.
Throughout the day, we reflected on how far we’ve come this year: strengthening consultancy delivery, expanding fire and legionella support, reshaping our training offer, improving scheduling and operational flow, sharpening data visibility, and embedding more consistent processes across the board.
Our leadership team shared updates on performance, recruitment, onboarding, client delivery, technology improvements, and the plans shaping 2026. The tone was honest and focused on what’s working, where we’re improving, and how we keep making safety something that’s lived, not just logged.
For many people, this was their first chance to meet colleagues they work with every day. Consultants and trainers swapped stories. New starters got to speak with colleagues who’ve been with Ligtas for years. Office teams finally put faces to the names they coordinate with constantly.
It felt human, open, and collaborative; the culture we want to build, not just describe.
Toward the end of the afternoon, we recognised colleagues who’ve made a standout difference this year. Their contribution, quiet or loud, visible or behind the scenes strengthens the whole organisation.
Steady, supportive, dependable. Colin sets the bar for consistency and professionalism.
Always ready to step in, support others, and keep things moving. Barbara’s impact is felt across teams.
New to Ligtas but already raising the standard. Loren has made a significant mark on the quality and consistency of our brand.
Warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. Kyra embodies the human side of Ligtas.
An exceptional year for Neil; strong delivery, great judgement, and consistently positive client feedback.
Enthusiastic and always willing to help, a key team player
The Christmas jumper competition returned in full force. Lights, sequins, bold colours — the works. It brought the perfect bit of mischief before we headed into the evening celebrations, where everyone had the chance to relax and enjoy time together without deadlines, Teams calls, or travel schedules.
As we wrap up another year, one thing is clear: Ligtas works because of the people in it. Every consultant on site, every trainer coaching learners, every scheduler keeping the system running, every fire, H&S and legionella specialist, every operational and support role; all of it adds up to the reputation, progress, and strength of the business.
Thank you for everything you’ve done in 2025. Here’s to stepping into 2025 with clarity, confidence, and a team that proves every day that safety is stronger when it’s shared.
