September 2025
On 22nd September 2025, hundreds of health and safety professionals will gather at the University of Warwick for the NEBOSH Graduation and Awards Ceremony 2025. It’s a moment of celebration for the hard work, resilience, and achievements of learners who have successfully completed their NEBOSH Diplomas and Masters qualifications.
This year, Ligtas is proud to sponsor the Best Candidate Award for the Health & Safety Management for Construction Certificate (UK). Presented by our Head of Training, Andrew Regel BSc (Hons), CMIOSH, the award recognises outstanding performance in one of the most challenging and impactful qualifications in the sector. As a NEBOSH Gold Learning Partner, Ligtas is committed to supporting the next generation of professionals who are shaping safer workplaces and communities across the world.
According to the Health and Safety Executive’s latest official statistics, 124 workers lost their lives in work-related accidents across Great Britain during 2024/25. Within that, the construction industry accounted for 35 fatalities, the highest of any sector, accounting for just under half of all worker deaths alongside agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors.
Behind these figures are families, communities, and organisations deeply affected. That’s why qualifications like the NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction Certificate are so important. They equip professionals with the competence and confidence to prevent incidents, protect lives, and build safer environments.
The NEBOSH Graduation and Awards Ceremony brings together learners, families, tutors, and industry leaders. Around 2,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event, making it one of the most significant gatherings in the health and safety calendar.
For the award winners, it’s an opportunity to be recognised on a global stage. For everyone else, it’s a reminder that success in health and safety goes beyond qualifications; it’s about a deep commitment to protecting others.
In addition to attending the ceremony to present the award, Ligtas will host an exhibition table in the Mead Gallery in Warwick Arts Centre, giving attendees the chance to meet our team and learn more about what we do. We’ll be on hand to discuss not just our consultancy and training services, but also the career opportunities we offer.
Our people share a deep commitment to protecting lives, preventing harm, and shaping safer futures. For anyone passionate about health and safety, we provide meaningful roles where your skills make a difference every single day.

"Sponsoring this award allows us to celebrate excellence in health and safety and connect with future leaders who are driven by the same purpose as us — keeping people safe. It’s a privilege to recognise individuals whose achievements will have a ripple effect far beyond the classroom.”
