As a Senior Fire Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive fire safety solutions, offering your expertise to support our clients across a variety of sectors. ● Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments across diverse properties (residential, commercial, retail, etc.).
● Deliver expert consultancy services, including fire strategies, compartmentation surveys, fire procedures, fire safety manuals, and fire door inspections.
● Act as a trusted technical expert, advising and guiding clients and colleagues.
● Mentor new starters and support the ongoing professional growth of team members.
● Contribute actively to raising overall fire competency standards within Ligtas.
● Stay abreast of regulatory and technical developments to provide up-to-date, accurate advice.
● Validate fire risk assessment reports as part of our accredited BAFE SP205-1 scheme.
● Ensure work is completed on time, meeting company policies, procedures, and client expectations.
● Proactively identify and manage health and safety hazards to protect yourself and others.
● Engage in internal meetings, briefings, and continuous professional development sessions.
● Support business growth through technical articles, speaking engagements, and bid writing.
● Promote Ligtas’ full suite of services, identifying new business opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who is:

● Is adaptable and proactive, comfortable managing diverse client needs with a right-first-time approach.
● Is motivated by the opportunity to protect lives and contribute positively to workplace safety.
● Accredited Level 3 qualification in fire risk assessment (minimum).
● Level 4 fire safety qualification, or actively working towards it.
● Membership of a recognised professional body (IFSM, IFPO, IFE).
● Registration with a recognised Fire Risk Assessment Register (Tier 2 or 3 IFSM, or IFE).
● Significant experience conducting fire risk assessments in varied property environments.
● Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry best practices.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Effective time management, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
● Flexibility to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
● High level of IT literacy, proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
