The Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Fire Door Inspectors. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring building safety through detailed inspections and accurate reporting, supported by comprehensive training from our experienced health, safety, and fire professionals.

This role is home-based, involving regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough fire door inspections across a diverse range of properties, including residential, healthcare, retail, industrial, education, infrastructure, and commercial sectors.
  • Ensure inspection reports and documentation are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
  • Manage tasks effectively, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining high client satisfaction levels.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and independently manage tasks as required.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Are proficient with IT systems, including Microsoft Office and mobile apps for report writing.
  • Possess a full UK driving licence.
  • Are committed to ongoing learning and skill development.

 

Competency Requirements:

Essential:

  • Recognised Fire Door Inspection qualification - ABBE Level 3 Fire door inspection, FDIS Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Organised and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage your workload independently and within a team.
  • Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office, mobile app platforms).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Commitment to professional development.

Desirable:

  • Awareness of health and safety principles.
  • Prior experience in health and safety, fire safety, or construction/building trades.
