Stress awareness week

International Stress Awareness Week is this week 2-6 November 2020, established in 2018 to raise awareness about stress prevention, following on from Stress Awareness Day which was founded in 1998.

International Stress Awareness Week has since developed into a major annual event focusing on stress management.

Almost one in five adults were likely to be experiencing some form of depression in June, according to the ISMA. These statistics are staggering, so more needs to reduce that figure! Here are some tips that we have found to help with stress:

1. Listen to your favorite music

2. Go outside and just breathe in the fresh air

3. Take a moment to just breathe slowly and deeply

4. Laugh- laughter really is the best medicine

5. Get moving, go for a walk, run, do yoga, cycle, or whatever makes you smile

6. Eat well, Why not cook a healthy meal when you are feeling stressed?

7. Practice gratitude for all the things you do have

8. Read- a book, magazine, newspaper, E-Newsletter, or some positive quotes
