Evie McLoughlin

I previously spent two years working as a waitress, before joining the Ligtas team. This experience allowed me to meet new people and develop a wide range of skills, including teamwork and effective communication.

Before my waitressing job, I was a student at St. Julian’s School in Newport, where I focused on my GCSEs.

I am delighted and grateful to be a part of the Ligtas team, where I have taken the role of Sales Administrator. In addition to my work, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends. I currently live with my parents and three of my siblings. On weekends, I thoroughly enjoy socialising with my friends, whether it’s shopping, dining out, or just going on walks together.

Claire Gould

I have over 5 years of experience in the industry, beginning my career at Quantum Compliance under William Martin. During my time at Quantum Compliance, I progressed from being a scheduler to becoming a Team Leader for a year. Prior to that, I spent 3.5 years in the flood industry, where my role was quite diverse.

While working in the flood industry, I had a range of responsibilities. I collaborated closely with the compliance manager, primarily handling administrative tasks and reviewing various risk assessments. Additionally, I worked alongside the contracts team to coordinate installations with homeowners.

I’ve since transitioned to the role of an Account Manager at Ligtas. In my current position, I manage several smaller client accounts, including tasks like generating quotes and confirming orders.

 

Outside of work, I have a variety of interests that keep me engaged and fulfilled. These include staying active and fit, enjoying walks and hikes, dining out, traveling, reading, cooking, and socializing with friends.

Shellie Rogers

For 17 years, I dedicated my career to a local manufacturing company, embarking on a diverse and enriching journey within the organisation. It all began at the front desk, where I honed crucial customer service skills and established a strong foundation in comprehending clients’ unique needs and expectations.

As I progressed through roles in payroll, HR, sales, and customer service, I had the privilege of cultivating enduring relationships with clients and expanding my skill set, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the manufacturing industry.

I’ve recently taken on the role of Account Manager within the Client Services Team at Ligtas. I’m enthusiastic about learning and embracing new challenges and eager to contribute meaningfully to the company’s continued success.

 

During my free time, I enjoy cooking, eating out, reading, staying active with long walks and regular runs, and, more recently, finding joy in gardening.

Martyn Scantlebury

I have recently joined Ligtas Consultancy as a Senior Fire Consultant. My previous role was working as a Fire Risk Assessor whilst completing my CFPA Diploma in Fire Safety Management with the FPA. I have a good depth of experience in fire safety within residential buildings ranging from high-rise properties, care facilities, and simple residential premises, as my previous role was primarily focused within this field.

However, I have also taken part in a variety of fire safety projects for more complex premises including football stadiums, large commercial premises, and The British Library.

I have a real passion for fire safety and really enjoy the variety of work that comes with my chosen profession. No day is the same in my line of work and the balance between site visits and working from home suits my personality as a person who is always keen to learn and see new things.

My passion for fire safety has inspired me to gain as much experience as possible during my career. I am constantly looking to grow as a fire safety professional with classroom based and home based learning and have achieved a Fire Safety Diploma in Technical Fire Safety and a Diploma in Fire Safety Management. I am also a member of the IFSM, a Tier 3 accredited Risk Assessor with the NSI, and a qualified fire door inspector.

My day to day roles as a Senior Fire Safety Consultant at Ligtas is varied. I carry out fire risk assessments, produce fire strategies, handle bespoke consultancy reports for our clients, and am a member of the BAFE team, ensuring the final product that we produce for our clients is the best it can be.

As a Senior Consultant, my phone is always on and my emails are open to anyone within the company who requires my advice, opinions, or even just a general conversation about work or personal life.

In my own personal life, I have a deep passion for travel, which has seen me spend my early 20’s travelling the world, in which I have been lucky enough to visit over 50 countries (and counting). My travels led me to live in Australia for a few years where I worked a variety of jobs to fund my adventures, including working on a cattle ranch in the middle of the outback. I also enjoy a variety of sports mainly golf, football and tennis.

 

In the brief duration that I have been a part of this organisation, I have encountered fantastic colleagues and a supportive environment. I am genuinely delighted to be a part of the team at Ligtas and wish everyone the very best in their careers.
