NEBOSH Graduation and Awards Ceremonies - 5 September 2022
Graduation days are important events in the NEBOSH calendar, marking incredible achievements for the students.
2022 was a special occasion for Ligtas as our team were not only able to attend the NEBOSH graduation ceremony for all the successful diploma candidates but to also meet a Ligtas student Hong Lan Quek, who achieved the best candidate award in the NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Meet Hong Lan Quek
Previously Ligtas had only met Hong Lan Quek online as she is based in Singapore. At the ceremony, both Helen Jerman-Crandon and Donna Maksimovic were delighted to catch up with Hong Lan Quek who said
‘The training with Ligtas was very effective. The online material was very clear and easy to understand. The trainers, Helen and Andrew were immensely supportive in making sure that I understood the concepts and left nothing to ambiguity. Ligtas has given me strong support and confidence to take on the NEBOSH exams.’
When asked what it means to now complete this qualification?
‘Completing this qualification gives confidence in my HSSE competency. NEBOSH has given me the required knowledge for my previous role in Regional & Site HSSE, and I continue to carry this to my current role in identifying and understanding risks, and actively addressing them to ensure safe process unit operations.’
Finally, we asked her what her future career aspirations were.
‘I’m looking forward to continuing deepening my knowledge in this domain, and possibly reaching the competency level to contribute back and train the next generation of HSSE leaders.’
All the team at Ligtas would like to wish the very best to all our diploma course graduates. But also to thank them for being the experts of the future to helping to keep the world safe and healthy. And also not forgetting, protecting our environment.
