HAZOP Course Overview
The Ligtas Short Awareness Course on Introduction to HAZOP is a concise program designed to provide an overview of the fundamentals of a HAZOP study. This course can be completed over one or two days, making it ideal for those seeking a brief yet comprehensive introduction.
As part of the Risk Analysis process detailed in international standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) tools such as HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) are used to identify potential undesirable events that could lead to hazardous scenarios or operability problems within a process.
How Long Will The Course Take?
Ther are one day and two day course options.
Certification
Delegates are awarded the Ligtas Certificate in HAZOP awareness.
Who Is The HAZOP Course For?
The HAZOP course is aimed at individuals with responsibilities under IEC 61511, including:
- Plant managers responsible for managing functional safety in process plants
- Engineers (control and instrumentation, chemical, mechanical, electrical) involved in Process Hazard Analysis workshops, and the specification, design, operation, and maintenance of plants with Safety Instrumented Systems
- Project managers and key stakeholders responsible for ensuring safety and awareness of Major Accident Hazards (MAHs)
