2. Managing Legionella in Man-Made Water Systems
- How water systems become contaminated
- High risk systems such as hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, and spa pools
- Key risk factors, including temperature, stagnation, nutrients, and system design
- Legal responsibilities of Duty Holders and Responsible Persons
3. Methods of Control
- Temperature control regimes
- Design considerations to prevent stagnation
- Cleaning, disinfection, monitoring, and record keeping
- Understanding written schemes of control
- Management of infrequently used outlets, showers, tanks, calorifiers, and more
4. Case Studies
- Detailed breakdowns of significant UK outbreaks
- How failures in communication, risk assessment, training, and monitoring contributed
